Nike Inc. is reorganising its senior leadership team as its new CEO Elliot Hill elevates experienced leaders against its Win Now action plan in order to position the company for future growth.

Elliott Hill, President and CEO, NIKE Inc. and Heidi O’Neill, President of Consumer, Product and Brand have decided that leadership should be divided into three distinct areas: “Consumer and Sport”, “Marketing”, and “Product Creation”, inclusive of Innovation and Design. These leaders will report directly to Hill. Meanwhile, O’Neill has announced her exit from Nike after twenty-six years.

“For nearly three decades, Heidi has been a true champion for Nike, for sport and for athletes across the globe. Her vision and dedication over the years have left an indelible mark on Nike and created an impact on the world of sport,” said Hill. “Among Heidi’s many successes, she most recently elevated our brand voice, and innovation and product pipeline by putting sport and athletes at the center of everything we do. I want to thank Heidi for her passion, commitment and service and wish her the best on her next adventure.”

“After an incredible 26-years at Nike, today I’m announcing a transition as I move on from this storied company. This moment marks a significant milestone, and I’m filled with immense pride, deep gratitude, and excitement for what the future holds,” posted Heidi O’Neill on LinkedIn. “Year after year, we’ve focused on the long-term with an unwavering commitment to the company’s mission and I could not be prouder of the way we’ve impacted the world of sport and the groundbreaking innovations we’ve created and delivered to athletes… From breaking barriers for Women’s Sport in the early days with Clare Hamill, to the present Breaking4 moonshot project with Faith Kipyegon and the Advanced Innovation Collective and Running teams, it’s been an exhilarating ride.”

The new senior leadership appointments come after similar moves, with Hill naming new leaders for strategy, sports marketing, human resources and legal departments, and will be effective immediately -:

– Amy Montagne, GM Global Women’s, has been promoted to President and is responsible for driving future growth.
– Phil McCartney, VP, Footwear is now EVP, Chief Innovation, Design and Product Officer and will look after the creation of innovative and coveted products.
– Nicole Graham, Chief Marketing Officer, has been promoted to EVP, Chief Marketing Officer, leading Nike, Jordan and Converse storytelling to inspire consumers and shape the brands through the passion and emotion of sport.
– Tom Clarke, strategic advisor to the CEO, has assumed his new role of Chief Growth Initiatives Officer.

”I’m confident that with this new structure and leadership team in place we will be able to better line up and leverage all the advantages that make Nike great,” said Hill. “These exceptional leaders bring extensive Nike experience and have been instrumental in resetting our priorities to lead with sport and put the athlete at the center of everything we do.”
