The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. appoints Brian Franz as Chief Technology, Data and Analytics Officer, effective April 21, 2025. With consumers increasingly moving towards digitalisation, Franz’s responsibilities include advancing AI-driven capabilities. 

As Estee Lauder’s first combined Chief Data Technology, Data and Analytics Officer, Brian Franz will lead the strategic transformation of The Estée Lauder Companies’ global data and technology capabilities. He will also drive the next era of technology innovation, empowering brands, commercial teams, and functions with scalable, secure, and advanced platforms that enhance business agility and deliver high-touch, personalised consumer experiences.

Franz will guide efforts to scale systems while ensuring they are agile enough to meet the changing needs of the business. He will also oversee the Digital Technology and the Experience and Enterprise Data teams, where they will focus on platform integration, delivering more seamless and personalised digital experiences for consumers, and harnessing data as a strategic asset to drive faster, smarter decisions across the enterprise.

Brian Franz joins The Estée Lauder Companies from State Street, where he served as Executive Vice President, Global Chief Information Officer and Head of Enterprise Resiliency. Here, he led global technology, enterprise resiliency and data for the organisation. A seasoned executive with experience in technology, operations, and business transformation, Franz brings a technology-forward mindset and a history of scaling innovation in global enterprises—while keeping user experience and operational excellence at the center. Prior to State Street, Franz held senior leadership roles at Diageo PLC, including Chief Productivity Officer and CIO, and served as CIO at PepsiCo International. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at GE Capital and AT&T.
