Alex Consani

SUMMARY

Alex Monette Consani is an American model and influencer. She began her modeling career in 2015 and, at the age of 12, became the youngest transgender model in the world. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she joined TikTok in 2020, where she amassed over three million followers by 2024. In December 2024, Consani was named Model of the Year at the Annual UK Fashion Awards. She is the first transgender woman to receive the award, illustrating her impact and influence in the fashion industry.

BIOGRAPHY

Alex Monette Consani was born on 23 July 2003 in Petaluma, California, United States to a mother working in water conservation and a father involved with Guide Dogs for the Blind. Of Italian, English, and German descent, Alex is transgender and began expressing her femininity at a very young age. By eight, she chose the name “Alex” and began hormone replacement therapy during her puberty.

Her modeling journey began in 2015 when her mother came across an advertisement for Slay Model Management, a Los Angeles-based agency for transgender models. At 12, Alex became the youngest transgender model in the world.  Alex graduated from Petaluma High School in 2021 and attended Pace University with support from scholarships, including the Alphabet Soup Thrift Store Scholarship and the MacIlvain Family Scholarship. Soon she signed with IMG Models- the powerful modeling agency that represents Ashley Graham, Paloma Elsesser, and Bella Hadid- and moved to New York City.

Alex Consani debuted for Tom Ford in 2021 and has since walked for Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Versace, Stella McCartney, Mugler, Balmain and many other luxury fashion brands. In Fall Winter 2025, she walked for Coach, Michael Kors and Tory Burch and has featured in campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier x KNWLS, H&M, Tommy Hilfiger and Jacquemus. In October 2024, she made history as one of the first transgender women to walk for Victoria’s Secret.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

Alex Consani became a viral sensation alongside a supermodel; she had over two million TikTok followers and over 150 million engagements on her videos in 2024 and became the first transgender person to be nominated for the Fashion Award for Model of the Year in 2024. Later she was included in TIME 100 Creators 2025.
