Beaumont Organic is an international ethical womenswear brand that combines signature styling with contemporary classics. The brand uses contrasting fabrics and unique silhouettes with luxury organic, fairtrade and eco fabrics to create a renowned style. The collection offers a wardrobe of transitional pieces, producing two collections a year along with a collection of accessories that encompass the brands clean look and contemporary styling.
It was founded by Hannah Beaumont-Laurencia in 2008 with a mission to pioneer organic and ethical clothing. Since launching with just eight organic cotton undyed t-shirts the brand has developed into an international womenswear label that combines signature styling with contemporary classics. All created ethically from design to delivery.
The company’s vision is to be seen as a pioneering design driven, well-respected, established, international organic and ethical brand. A brand people are proud to be wearing and be associated with, producing clothing that people respect and care for, encapsulating an emotional bond with our customers and creating a loyal following around the world.
To design and create ‘Contemporary Conscious Clothing responsibly using luxury fabrics for the modern woman.
Beaumont Organic uses organic cotton and traces it since the moment cotton is planted, and throughout the production process. All its cotton is GOTS certified, therefore it is possible to know where it was grown and knitted, and its ensured that no pesticides, chemicals or GMO seeds are used in the production. Crops are rotated to maintain a healthy soil and reduce water consumption.
Beaumont Organic only uses wool from the EU where there are very strict laws on farming. All EU wool is harvested according to non-mulesing practices in line with animal rights recommendations. The company visits their factories regularly, sometimes unannounced, and where possible they have moved to recycled yarns in an effort to re-use rather than produce more.
All factories contain huge amounts of unused fabric rolls which are left around in warehouses. These fabrics are often produced using environmentally damaging methods, but then the product is wasted. Beaumont Organic tries to use these fabrics in an effort to reduce the waste material going to landfill. They believe that using ‘end of rolls’ is just as important as using organic and sustainable fabrics. This also results in a more unique garment as ‘end of roll’ styles are typically very limited in number.
The brand works with factories in the EU which pay fair wages and provide good working conditions for their staff. We visit regularly and speak to them daily.
We pay fair prices for our products based on the average salaries in the country and the quality of the manufacturing, and we give large lead times for production to ensure the factory workers can manager our orders within their working day and do not need to work longer hours.
