So, how did she get inspiration to launch a bespoke jewellery brand? The idea for Alicia J took seed when a family friend was searching for an engagement ring and counselled her advice. He had already received a quote from a jeweller but was still searching for the highest carat size within his budget. While helping him search for the perfect carat, Alicia understood that buyers usually do not take into account other factors when buying a diamond; she also realised that diamond prices in Europe’s high street stores were overvalued when compared to what someone would pay in Dubai.

Taking into consideration all of these factors which could lead to wrong choices and inspired by the success of their find, she undertook training with the Gemological Institute of America as a diamond and gemstone specialist. This was the foundation to create an approachable, bespoke diamond jewellery concierge service which empowers the buyer with the knowledge to make an educated, quality purchase.

The bespoke jewellery brand does not have showrooms or stores and every one of their pieces is sourced directly from trusted suppliers, which helps in removing the added costs typically added on to fine jewellery supply chains. Ethically sourced diamonds is the brand’s priority and all their diamonds above 0.5 carat are graded by and with a diamond report from The Gemological Institute of America. The jewellery is crafted in Dubai by specialists and suppliers who have been creating fine jewellery for decades and each bespoke piece of jewellery is quality checked in person in Dubai and again when it arrives in London.
