Pacsun Expands Halloween Storefront With 67 Costumes, Accessories and Exclusive Styles

The retailer is turning Halloween into a broader fashion and culture moment, with an expanded women’s and men’s assortment plus a film event in Newport Beach.

29 September 2026 — Los Angeles — Pacsun has expanded its Halloween storefront for 2026, introducing 67 costumes, apparel pieces and accessories across women’s and men’s categories as the retailer leans further into Halloween as a fashion-led seasonal event.

The new assortment includes 52 women’s costumes and accessories from Leg Avenue alongside 15 men’s styles exclusive to Pacsun, giving customers options ranging from complete costumes to individual pieces that can be mixed into more personalised looks.

Rather than treating Halloween purely as a costume category, Pacsun is positioning the collection around self-expression, styling and youth culture, reflecting the way younger consumers increasingly reinterpret characters and references through their own wardrobes.

Halloween becomes a fashion moment

For women, Pacsun has expanded its Halloween offering compared with last year, with styles spanning playful, spooky and trend-led looks.

The collection includes costumes alongside angel wings, wigs, hosiery and other accessories designed to let shoppers customise outfits rather than buy a single fixed look.

That approach reflects a broader shift in seasonal fashion, where consumers increasingly build Halloween outfits around pieces they can style, layer or reinterpret rather than relying only on traditional packaged costumes.

Richard Cox, Chief Merchandising Officer at Pacsun, said the company is seeing customers approach Halloween in much the same way they approach everyday fashion.

Halloween has become a real fashion moment for our customer, and we’re seeing them approach it with the same individuality they bring to getting dressed every day.

He added that the focus is increasingly on interpreting a character, reference or idea through personal style rather than reproducing a costume exactly as it is presented.

Men’s Halloween range expands with exclusive styles

Pacsun is also increasing its men’s Halloween offer with 15 exclusive styles.

The assortment is intended to support everything from full costumes to more understated or last-minute looks, allowing shoppers to build an outfit around individual apparel pieces and accessories.

By expanding both men’s and women’s categories, Pacsun is turning Halloween into a broader seasonal merchandising opportunity rather than treating it as a niche costume drop.

That fits naturally with the retailer’s wider positioning around contemporary fashion, streetwear and youth culture.

Fashion, film and community come together

Pacsun is extending the Halloween campaign beyond retail with an event at the Lido Theater in Newport Beach, California, on 2 October.

The evening will feature a double screening of Beetlejuice at 6 p.m. and Halloween at 8 p.m., bringing together film, fashion and community around the seasonal collection.

Guests will also be able to purchase two exclusive event-only T-shirts created specifically for the night, alongside selected Pacsun styles available onsite.

The event reflects a broader strategy among fashion retailers to create cultural experiences around products rather than relying solely on in-store or online merchandising.

For Pacsun, which has long positioned itself at the intersection of fashion, music, art and sport, Halloween offers another opportunity to connect apparel with entertainment and identity.

Customisation is central to the collection

The expanded storefront is built around the idea that Halloween dressing has become increasingly individual.

Shoppers can choose a complete costume, but they can also mix separate accessories, clothing and character references to build something more personal.

That makes the assortment particularly relevant to younger consumers who often treat Halloween looks as part of wider fashion culture and social media expression.

Pacsun’s approach is less about prescribing one finished look and more about giving shoppers the tools to create their own version.

This also gives the retailer greater flexibility across price points and styling preferences, with customers able to buy a single accessory or build a full head-to-toe outfit.

Seasonal retail moves closer to everyday fashion

The expansion highlights how Halloween merchandising is evolving.

Costumes were traditionally treated as highly seasonal products with limited use outside the holiday itself. Retailers are now increasingly blending Halloween with fashion, accessories and pop-culture references that can carry beyond one night.

For Pacsun, that creates an opportunity to connect seasonal shopping with its existing customer base rather than operate Halloween as a completely separate category.

The strategy also allows the retailer to bring more of its usual brand identity into the campaign through styling, exclusivity and cultural programming..
