
L’Oréal recently announced that it had signed an agreement to acquire Color Wow
L’oreal – the only company worldwide to have been awarded a CDP triple ‘A’ score for nine consecutive years and recognised as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere for the 16th time – moderately outperformed the global beauty market in the first quarter of 2025. In the first three months, sales amounted to 11.73 billion euros, up +4.4%. Continuing its growth dtrategy, the beauty conglomerate recently announced the acquisition of haircare brand, Color Wow.
Founded in 2013 by Gail Federici, Color Wow offers a unique line of products, particularly for frizz-control, thickening and volumising that have gained a loyal following among both stylists and consumers. The brand’s hero products include “XL Bombshell Volumizer” and “Dream Coat”. This acquisition further strengthens L’Oréal’s Professional products portfolio, with a proven track record of success and strong potential for global growth.
“We are delighted to welcome Color Wow to the L’Oréal family,” explained Omar Hajeri, President of L’Oréal’s Professional Products Division. “As a premium haircare brand, with high levels of proven efficacy at an accessible price point, this acquisition will give us an increased foothold in haircare and in the styling category. Convinced of its strong potential, our ambition is to make Color Wow a powerful brand worldwide.”
